I did it! Went to Geno’s, upon the Philadelphia cabbie’s recommendation, and gobbled up a cheese steak (with Provolone and onions), while biting into a hot pepper. Done. Then a nice walk around South Philly.

Dinner last night at peacefood café on the UWS — delicious vegan kitchen and bakery. Stunning food, fun staff, warm atmosphere, who can ask for more? This is their message: “Our cuisine is transformational, healthy and delicious; prepared and served with mindfulness, gratitude and the intention to nurture…” There’s more, but you get the idea. The chickpea fries and the pan-seared shanghai-style dumplings are signature dishes.
